Sh'zen was founded in 1989 when there was a growing demand among South African women for more natural beauty products. Since then,
Sh'Zen has been a pioneer in developing
award-winning, high-treatment products that ensure a more beautiful body from head to toe.
They have
7 different ranges: hands,
feet,
body,
hair,
face,
men and
sun, and have grown from just
seven products in 1989 to more than 100 today.
Besides incredible support from loyal customers throughout South Africa,
Sh'Zen also enjoys support from beauty therapists, chiropodists, podiatrists and even medical doctors around the country -
proof indeed of the efficacy of their products!
The very kind ladies at
Sh'zen sent me three amazing products to try out which are their infamous
Matrix oil, Rehydrating bath and their new
Vanilla Cashmere massage oil. Now I am here to report back on what I thought :)
Matrix oil
It contains:
*Vitamins A, B, D and E, Kelp and Calcium to promote nail growth, strength and vitality,
*
Carrot, Grapeseed and
Jojoba oils to nourish the skin around the nail and promote cell regeneration,
*Wheatgerm, a natural Vitamin E carrier, to stimulate the formation of new skin cells,
*and
Sweet Almond oil to soften and soothe the skin.

The combination of vitamins also repairs scar tissue in the nail matrix and so
prevents the formation of bumps and ridges on the nail. It comes in an easy-to-use gloss roller bottle and is quickly absorbed.
Every child can remember getting cuts, bruises and burns, but its not often that we remember all the
"secret" remedies our mothers used to make the "Ouchies" go away. For me, I remember
Sh'zen's Matrix Oil being a very helpful cure for my grazes, sunburn and even bee stings. This little bottle of golden miracles, has tons of muti-uses and i can confidently say that it is the
perfect handbag essential!
~FYI~
Your matrix? The nail matrix is the formative layer of cells at the
base of the fingernail or toenail. This tissue consists of rapidly dividing skin cells that soon fill with the protein keratin.

Rehydrating Bath
This rich emollient is designed to
moisturise and comfort extremely dry, cracked skin.
It's made from the finest
imported waxes and is enriched with
Shea Butter, known for its deep moisturising benefits as well as its
anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains healing
Calendula and nourishing
Sweet Almond Oil, which penetrates deeply into the skin to stimulate repair.
Directions: Soften a generous amount in the palm of your hand, then apply to the body before bathing. Massage gently in the water to create a slight lather and then pat dry.

This is such a great product to use in winter. Besides it's divine scent, it leaves your skin so soft and nourished. I use this as a foot balm at night and my feet have never felt so soft. I love it!
I would recommend this to anyone who is concerned with dry skin or would like their skin to have an extra boost of care this winter.
Vanilla Cashmere Massage Oil
A combination of natural plant and essential oils, this all-over body treatment
keeps skin silky soft and works to deeply
comfort the psyche.
Vanilla, Ginger, Patchouli, Geranium and
Rose essential oils create a deep, joyful and rich aroma - one that relaxes and comforts the body and psyche, and brings a feeling of security and warmth to the senses. Together they also
soothe and heal tissue and work with the nourishing plant oils of
Apricot, Avocado, Blackcurrant and
Hazelnut to protect, nurture and rehydrate skin. Regular massage with this luxurious oil will keep your skin silky smooth, looking younger and smelling beautiful.

This massage oil has such a warm comforting scent that is
perfect for bedtime. When I first applied it, I could smell the ginger and in the morning when I woke up I smelt like delicious Vanilla. It left my skin glowing (Not the oily kind of glowing though) and I felt rather pampered!
I love this oil for
massaging sore feet and my
stiff neck after a long day. This massage oil doesn't only have to be used for massaging, you can use it like a moisturiser, just apply a smaller amount to your skin. It will put you in a "feel good" mood for the whole day!
