10 Day 'you' challenge - 3 Movies

Fifth Element
(1997) Main Actors: Bruce Willis and  Milla Jovovich.

This is my number one favourite movie of all time...EVER! I was only 7/8 years old when I first saw it but ever since then, I have had a thing for robots and cool spaceship movies.

I think its because its an "In the future" movie and I firmly believe that one day, we will live like the people in this movie (not in our lifetime though).

LOVE IT!!!

Man on Fire (2004) Main Actors: Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning.

This is another one of my favourites. It is a really 'deep' movie and has a bit too much guts and gore for my liking but I love watching it.

There is a 100% chance that when I watch Man on Fire, I am in tears at the end of the movie...(Sad story)

You need to watch it!

Transformers (2007) Main Actors: Shia LeBeouf, Megan Fox and Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime.

I just love this movie! (The other 3 are also pretty awesome!) Awesome, kick ass, robot fighting.

10 Day 'you' challenge - 4 Books

To be bluntly honest, I don't read books. I am more of an internet and magazine reader. I have read a few books but only because people just cannot stop talking about it (e.g. 50 shades of Grey *Bleh*) or have been reccomened to me by someone I know.

My favourite books have to be the Twilight Saga and I was really tempted to just list those as my four books (Twilight, Eclipse, New moon and Breaking dawn). I realised that wouldn't really reflect well on my intelligence level and might be interpreted as me being a Twilight freak. So I'll just say that I really enjoyed The Twilight Saga because they are way better than the movies. The End

My mom bought me a collectors edition of Hans Christian Anderson's Original Fairy Tales when I was 10 years old (In Denmark). I loved reading the fairytales, being so little, and still read them into my teen years. Now, much older, I am grateful to have it so I can one day read it to my kids :)
(Not actual book)
The Little Match Seller/Girl is my favourite short story in the fairytale book above. It is a very sad yet touching story. One of my favourites. (There are different versions, one called the little match girl and the little match seller.)
(Not actual book)
I think every little girl, at least once while growing up, has fantasized about having 'little people' living in their cupboard...Or is that just me? *Awkward smile*
Anyways, I really love The Borrowers (even the movie was good).

10 Day 'you' challenge - 6 Places

6 Places

Zanzibar is my dream honeymoon destination

Scotland has always been one of my favourite places and Scottish people sound pimpin'.

New York, specifically Times Square on new years eve, need I say more?

Randers, Denmark, is where I stayed when I was 10. I was too young to really appreciate it so I would love to go back and experience it all over again, being much older and wiser.

Cape Town is a place I have never been to but would love to visit. All the pictures on Superficial Girls' blog makes me yearn CT more and more each day.

Switzerland...for the chocolate!

10 Day 'you' challenge - 7 Wants

7 Wants

My first car - I have had my license for a while now but don't have my own car. I'd really love to get one soon.
To be fit and in shape - I don't do nearly as much healthy eating and exercise as I should so I don't carry my ideal weight. I just keep telling myself "Get that shit under control", and it actually works in motivating me :)
To finally find a career and be really successful in it - I have done my first year in a Bcom Economics degree but find that it isn't really what I want to do as a career. Hopefully I will find a suitable career path soon and be amazing at it.
A Cat - Most people know that I'm cat crazy but I don't actually have any :( The complex we stay in does not allow us to keep pets but I really want to sneak one in ;)
No more animal cruelty - 'Nuff said!
To travel the world - Travelling has always been one of my dreams. I'd like to travel a lot, while I'm still young.
Have a white Christmas - I experienced a white Christmas when I was ten years old. We were in Denmark for the holidays and it was such an amazing experience for me. It's exactly like in the movies. I would love to have many more!

Look our for my 6 places, on Monday :)

xoxo

10 Day 'you' challenge - 10 Secrets

If you're an avid beauty blog reader you might have seen a few posts on a "10 day 'you' challenge". It's a fun way for us bloggers to let you know who we are as people *Shocked voices* (Yes we are people too), and let our walls down to show that we're pretty cool people if you get to know us. Visit Whimsy is forever, Gee whiskers and Lipgloss kisses to check out their 10 day 'you' challenge.

Ten Secrets

I wouldn't really call these secrets but rather 'things you probably didn't know about me'.

1) I love needles! Not in a freaky "I have the potential to be a drug addict" kinda way, most people just freak out when they donate blood or even see a needle in close range, me, not so much.

2) Because I like needles, I have gotten a few piercing's along the past few years. I have 8 piercings in total. I'll leave you wondering where though ;) I'd love to get a tattoo one day, once I find the right design (It's difficult choosing something that will be with you for the rest of your life).

3) I love babies and kids. Being the 2nd youngest of my siblings, I love being around little ones.

4) The feeling of dry lips or hands makes me want to cry/scream – occasionally, depending on how bad, I might do both at the same time. It gives me the same feeling that you get when you scratch your nails down a chalk board. *Shrieks in agony* *10 million goosebumps*

5) I had really bad hormonal acne and was on roaccutane for 4 months this year. I had really tried everything to get rid of it. Eventually my face was scarring so badly, drastic measures had to be taken. I know many ladies do not agree with my decision and often tell me "There are more natural ways to cure hormonal acne", I just couldn't wait to test out all these ailments because it was permanently damaging my face. I still  have scarring and pigmentation but it is 90% better than it was. (I will do a full post on this topic soon)

6) I am an internet addict, specifically social networks. I have virtual accounts on soo many networks it's crazy. It's not so much being part of them because I guess that’s just a given these days, it's that I don't really use them.....ever. I'll sign up just for the sake of signing up!! An then I constantly receive spam and newsletters (and never unsubscribe)....I think I have a problem......

7) I am crazy self-conscious about my ears. They stick out quite a lot and I was constantly teased at primary school and even High school, so I grew a major complex. Over my later teen years, I started accepting the fact that there’s nothing I can do, its just genetics :)

8) I didn't own a pair of sunglasses till about 3 weeks ago when my boyfriend's aunt gave me hers. *Shocker*

9) I wanted to be a vet when I was in high school but my marks were never good enough. I'm thankful though because I really don't think my heart would have been able to take the pain and loss of hurt animals :(

10) I hate, hate, hate cooked fruit. Apple pie = the worst, Hawaiian pizza = bleh, fried tomato to finish off your bacon and egg breakfast = gross!

Look out for tomorrow's FYI's :)
